Rockport May Ball - 17th May, 2025

The Rockport May Ball has a legacy that dates back decades. However, this is the first to take place in almost 10 years, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

This unique experience will bring together the wider Rockport community under one roof in the dramatic Titanic Suite at Titanic Belfast; from alumni, to existing school parents, past parents and business people from the North Down locale.

We are expecting around 500 guests, with capacity for up to 700. Tables are priced at £900, with individual tickets priced at £95. The ticket includes a champagne reception, three course meal with wine and live music from The New Brass Kings as entertainment.

In addition to giving everyone a great night out, the purpose of the May Ball is to officially launch Rockport120 - a five-year campaign to develop a multi-use complex on the grounds of Rockport School that will enhance the sports and performing arts facilities, increase boarding capacity and leave a lasting legacy that will benefit pupils for decades to come.

As a school that boasts globally recognised alumni including Turlough Convery, Gary Lightbody, Jonny Quinn, Fred Covington and Paddy Wallace from the worlds of theatre, film, music and sport; and as the home of Ireland’s only school-based Golf Academy, the opportunities offered to pupils at Rockport are endless, and the development of this multi-use complex is what will truly set Rockport apart.

The May Ball will bring together some of the most influential business people and professionals both locally and further afield, providing significant networking opportunities to attendees, and brand awareness to sponsors.

It is also the first time we will unveil an artist’s impression of the multi-use complex, and so will be the first opportunity for businesses and individuals to register their interest and support for the project.
